We printed out the gear from the 3d printer today and have assembled it. The assembly is kind of sloppy and are addressing the problems today. The assembly was a a replicate of Mr Martins piece. The Axeholes will keep you posted.
As of were we are today, we've finished the midterm project with our robot and we passed with a B. It was our first run and we managed to do good at it. We decided to keep that score, because it don'st look like we're getting a better score than this. We are now taking a well deserved break. Also there was testing in our room, so we couldn't do much anyway.
We're going to start fixing some minor things like a few loose screws and rearranging our wire management. We also plan on changing the end-effector to a less heavy material. This might be difficult due to the lack of available parts, but we can barter with a few people.
We've returned from thanksgiving, so we're not going to do much today. We're just going to practice our robot handling for the future and see if there is anything that needs fixing. The robot works well at the moment, but there are some things that could be improved but not today.
